I believe the Bible to be the written witness of Jesus Christ. And as we know every witness has a different perspective but it gives us a fuller picture. I believe the bible to be inspired by God
For we are each a unique individual and God uses and speaks to each one of us as individuals as well as a Group. And when God inspires one He uses their individuality and History for His Good. Moses is an excellent prime example of this.
I believe this is what the Bible bears witness to....
1) Jesus was born
2) He is the Son of God
3) Jesus taught love, forgiveness, and the Glory of God's Kingdom.
4) Also to watch and judge our own actions before judging and condemning another. Beware of being a Hypocrite so that we may enter the Kingdom with Him.
5) Jesus was tried by both the Jews and the Romans
6) Was an innocent put to death for the sin of all mankind
7) Rose from the Dead and now reigns in Heaven with Our Heavenly Father and He is the judge of all the Living and the Dead.
8) That the Holy Spirit is sent to those who are His so that they may commune and be taught by God Himself. We search scripture for ourselves in One accord...
9) My faith and belief in Jesus that guarantees my Salvation. I confess with all my heart and Soul That Jesus Christ is Lord of All.
10) He will return one day and create a new world as He has made me a new Creature.
11) We are to be witness of God’s love and Grace and How He changed/Changes our lives (a continuing process).
12) And to always keep my heart guarded from the sins that I may be tempted to commit and to recognize and confess the sins I have committed.
I believe I am not in the position to convict someone that God exist or condemn one of their sins. I am only to testify what God has done in my life what the Bible says about Jesus. I am to show the Love and Grace that Jesus shows me to others and to forgive all trespasses against me. (Sow the Seed)
It is the Holy Spirit's job to convict one of God and Jesus existence and of our sins but it is our choice to be convicted or turn our backs on that conviction. (Reap the Harvest)
When I look at the bible I look at as three separate parts that make up one whole, one Gospel.
BEGINNING
The Old Testament is the things of Old, a small glimpse of the History of God’s interaction with his people (and I still see a loving God in there) and prophecies of the future. The Chapters are building to biggest climax in the history of the world. The Promise of Our Saviour...
CLIMAX
The New Testament not including Revelations is the fulfilment of prophecy as well as how we are to live today. These Chapter tell us how much God Loved us that He sent His son only Jesus to be one with us and die for our sins so that we can be reconcile with God This is the climax that the Old Testament was lead to and it also slowly lead us to the end.
END/New Beginning
Revelations is the prophecy for the end of the World as we know it and Our Promises for a new beginning.
I hope this makes some sense for it is sometimes hard for me to put into words what comes to my heart and mind. All I can say is I am filled with such peace and content with my life neither hating it nor loving it just enjoying it. I enjoying every day God bless me with even if it is filled with good or bad. Most of all I enjoy commune with God the Father and Jesus His Son through the Holy Spirit.
